cosmetic dentistry faq: What is a Restylane Injection?
back to the Cosmetic Dentistry FAQ
What is a Restylane Injection?
Restylane is a relatively new and popular cosmetic injection filler. Many people considering dental cosmetic surgery also consider a Restylane injection as a complimentary procedure to add an overall new young look to themselves. Click on the link for more information on restylane Injections.

How does it work?
Restylane is a Hyaluronic Acid that is a naturally occuring substance in the human body. This means that the potential for a reaction to the substance is extremely minimized. The restylane, which is best described as a clear gel, is injected into the areas of the face that once contained this Hyaluronic Acid but over the years has dissipated.

The rejuvenation of that area by introducing the Restylane via injection causes fine lines to dissapear. Natural volume returns and the wrinkle is lifted up and smoothed out.

The procedure can be performed in just 30 minutes. Restylane injections are a great compliment to cosmetic dentistry, as your new smile is joined by a new wrinkle free face.

Restylane can be used in many spots like Worry lines that run across the forehead, forehead lines, crow's feet, frown lines, smoker's lines, marionette lines, deep smile lines, cheek depressions, redefining lip borders, acne scars, and some facial scars.
